Our Team

We’re a team of psychologists, social workers, and therapeutic practitioners who believe healing begins with relationship. We bring decades of experience – and a lot of heart – to every family, foster carer, and professional we support.

Dr Lisa O’Reilly

Founder & Director

Dr Lisa O'Reilly Guardian ad Litem HAPII

Dr Lisa O’Reilly is a leading child and family specialist, Guardian ad Litem, and founder of HAPii – Healing Attachment Play Institute Ireland. With over two decades of clinical experience in child protection, foster care, play therapy, and court-based advocacy, Lisa’s work is grounded in attachment theory, trauma-informed practice, and respectful, play-based engagement with children.

Her doctoral research pioneered the integration of play to authentically capture and represent the child’s voice in social work assessments. This foundation underpins HAPii’s signature Playful Bonds approach — an attachment-centred, play-based framework that supports healing, connection, emotional release, and secure caregiver-child relationships.

As Director, Lisa continues to bridge rigorous research, evidence-based practice, and heartfelt care to help children, parents, foster carers, and professionals build safer, stronger relationships. She remains committed to advancing the voice of the child and optimising child-caregiver connections for positive long-term mental wellbeing.
